IPEDS Graduation Rates: "Your Community College"

The Graduation Rate component of IPEDS tracks the cohort of first-time, full-time, degree/certificate-seeking undergraduates, as well as their completion status at 150% of normal time at postsecondary institutions.  Data are broken down by race and gender.

The REGEIS application performs the above calculations and generates an import file to automate entry of data into the IPEDS Web site.  An innovative front-end allows the Office of Institutional Research (OIR), and other designated offices, to view, verify, and filter survey data.  With a click of the mouse, the report can be printed.

The slides below illustrate the functionality of the front-end.  Clicking on any number instantly “pops-up” the underlying student records.  The source Pivot table allows OIR to view the source data, and filter the data by any number of student characteristics, e.g., by school, department, major, race, gender, first-time, first generation, etc.
