IPEDS Student Financial Aid: "Your University"

The Student Financial Aid component of IPEDS collects information about financial aid provided to all undergraduates; first-time, full-time undergraduates; living arrangements of students receiving financial aid; net price calculations (NPC) for first-time, full-time students receiving grant aid; and, for students receiving Title IV aid, NPC by income.

The REGEIS application performs the above calculations and generates an import file to automate entry of data into the IPEDS Web site.  An innovative front-end allows the Office of Institutional Research (OIR), and other designated offices, to view, verify, and filter survey data.  With a click of the mouse, the report can be printed.

Beginning with the 2014-2015 Survey Year, REGEIS has developed a powerful enhancement... full automation of the IPEDS/CDS surveys by schools within an institution. A simple click of the mouse will instantly show Student Financial Aid survey numbers by the selected school.

The screens below illustrate the functionality of the front-end. Clicking on any number instantly “pops-up” the underlying student records. The Award Summary Pivot table allows OIR to view the source data, and filter the data by any number of student characteristics, e.g., by school, department, race, gender, first-time, first generation, etc. The Award Detail Pivot table allows OIR to filter the data by student characteristics as well as by type of aid, e.g., source, need-based, non-need, scholarships, athletic awards, etc.
